Wordpress Templates: What Are They?

WordPress-powered webpages are skinned using WordPress templates. It is easy to put up a WordPress design. You may easily alter the look of your WordPress website by installing the newly created template. You can expand and alter the WordPress template to meet your needs. It comes with all the necessary source files.

File Structure

There are multiple directories in the template file that you downloaded. Let's examine the contents of each subdirectory in more detail:

    Screenshots - There are sample templates available. Not intended for production use.
  • theme -Includes theme assets for WordPress
  • "food restaurant elementor pro-0.0.1 zip" -This folder contains all of the files necessary to create the theme.
  • "File license.txt" -includes licence information
  • "readme.txt" This file includes information about the font, use script, and pictures used in the theme.

My site used to work fine before. How were the permissions on the files altered?

If file permissions are set wrong, WordPress might not be able to create directories, upload photos, or run scripts.

WordPress needs permission to create directories and manage files on the server.

  • When you right-click on any folder within the main directory, the context menu will appear. Choose File Permissions from there.
    1. Access wp-config.
    2. We will now examine the dialogue box for permissions.
    3. check the "Read and write" box.
    4. To proceed, click on the OK button.
  • For the wp-content subdirectory, use the same steps.

Installation of Templates

Installing a template is a straightforward process.

The WordPress interface can be used to complete the installation. Consequently, the procedure is quicker and more comfortable.

Two installation techniques are available.

1. Use WordPress admin to install a theme.

Go into the WordPress admin area to get started.

1. Click on Appearance >> Themes

2. Select the Add New option located on the themes page.

3. To add the theme, click the upload icon.

4. After selecting your seo-digital-agency zip file, click Browse and then Install now.


5. WordPress will display a message of achievement after installing your theme, as well as a link to activate it or watch the live preview.

Congratulations!! The theme has been installed properly.

2. Using FTP to install a theme

Using FTP to apply a theme is the second approach. Use FTP to access your website, then go to the wp-content/themes subdirectory. The theme must be unzipped, and just the extracted Total folder should be uploaded.

Enter your WordPress login credentials and select Settings. To Appearance >> Go To Themes .

8) To add a demo, click the Import Demo button.

9) Next, select Visit Site.

Setup the Homepage Template.

Here are the steps to create a home page.

  • 1. To set a template: Go to The Dashboard >> Pages >> Create A New Page..

    You can call it "home" or whatever you want. "Home-page" can be chosen from the design dropdown.

  • 2. To Set up the front page: Go to the Setting >> Reading >> Front Page Display Static Page menu select the home page to display as the front page

    • When you're finished, you'll see the entire demo collection on the front page.

2) You must go within the header and edit the content.

5.2 For Top Banner Section

Set up the Top Banner section. See the instructions below.

1) Go to:- The Dashboard >> Contact >> Edit.

To construct the top banner portion. Please follow these procedures.
